How to Plant Fruit Trees:
- Pick the Right Spot
Most fruit trees need full sun (6–8+ hours daily) and good air circulation. - Dig a Proper Hole
Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep so roots can spread easily. - Prep Your Soil
Remove half the soil and replace it with our Garden Soil or Land & Sea Compost to improve nutrients and drainage. Mix in Bio-tone® Starter Plus so roots grow strong and plants establish quickly. - Plant with Care
Set the tree so the root flare is at or slightly above soil level, then backfill with amended soil. - Water & Mulch
Water deeply after planting and add mulch to retain moisture and protect roots.
How to Care for Fruit Trees:
- Feed for Healthy Growth & Fruit
Use Tree-tone® to provide essential nutrients for strong growth and abundant harvests. Apply in spring and monthly during the growing season. - Watering Tips
Keep soil consistently moist, especially during the first growing season and during fruit development. - Prune for Structure & Yield
Prune annually to shape the tree, improve airflow, and encourage better fruit production. - Protect Your Harvest
Monitor for pests and use proper spacing and airflow to keep trees healthy.
