Joe has been in the Lawn & Garden industry for over twenty years. Prior to joining Espoma, he was Business Director for Spectrum Brands/United Industries Corporation Lawn & Garden and Hardware business two-step distribution channel. Joe and his wife Dorine are looking forward to re-locating from St. Louis, MO to New Jersey where Joe will operate as VP of Sales from the Espoma corporate offices in Millville, NJ. The Gallo’s have a passion for supporting our military; by volunteering at the USO, adopting and supporting front line United States Marines in Afghanistan.

Bob Hartman
Vice President of Marketing
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Bob holds a Bachelor Degree from Robert Morris College in Marketing. He brings 18+ years of
marketing experience with industry leaders such as The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Dicks Sporting Goods, Ketchum Advertising and Phantom Fireworks. Bob comes to us with 4+ years of marketing experience in the lawn and garden category. Bob has relocated from Chicago to Millville with his wife and two pets. His hobbies include fishing, golf, competitive softball and bowling. When Bob is not in the office, he enjoys riding his motorcycle or working around the house.

John Harrison
Sales & Marketing Support Manager
John grew up in the lawn & garden industry working at retail garden centers through high school and college. John joined Espoma in 1984 as a Territory Sales Representative and in 1988 was offered the opportunity to join our management team in Millville, NJ. John lives in southern New Jersey with his wife Madge and their perfect daughter Jill. His hobbies include home improvement projects, competitive swimming and gardening.

David Mountford
Customer Service
David has been in the lawn & garden industry for 25 years working at the distributor level as well as the retail level before joining Espoma in 1989. His responsibilities are to handle the logistics, accounts receivable, dealer co-op advertising, as well as consumer customer service calls. David’s father Jerry had been our Mid-Atlantic salesman for nearly 20 years. David lives in South Jersey with his wife Robin two daughters Kelsey and Kaitlyn. In his spare time he enjoys vacationing with his family, gardening, listening to several types of music and is an avid Red Sox baseball fan.

Shawn Shockey
Territory Sales Manager
Born and raised outside western Pennsylvania, Shawn has been in lawn and garden industry for over 10 years, and prior to joining Espoma was with United Industries/Spectrum Brands, servicing and supporting their 2-step lawn and garden business.
Shawn and his wife Melissa, and their two daughters Sarah and Grace, live in the Philadelphia suburbs. During his tenure at United, the Shockey’s lived in TX and LA. Shawn is an Eagle Scout who subscribes to its oath, motto, and slogan, and when not spending time with the family enjoys all outdoor activities, including cycling and motor sports.

Jim Kaminskas
Western Regional Sales Manager
Jim has been in the lawn and garden industry for over 20 years, having joined Espoma in 2005. He had been Espoma’s Vice President of Sales and successfully led the company’s growth during this period. In 2010, Jim requested a relocation to Oregon and became regional sales manager with responsibility for the 11 western states. Prior to joining Espoma, Jim was with Fiskars Garden and Outdoor Living, where he led the growth of the company's two-step distribution business. Before joining Fiskars, he was Vice President of Sales for Miracle-Gro and Scotts. Jim served on the Board of Directors for the Lawn and Garden Marketing Distribution Association (LGMDA) and chaired its marketing committee. He is an avid runner, having completed 16 marathons, and very much enjoys the game of golf, but never takes it too seriously.

Bonnie Satterthwaite
Southeast and Southwest Territory Sales Manager
Bonnie is originally from Savannah, Georgia and currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA. She has over 18 years of experience in the lawn and garden industry both wholesale and retail with a strong emphasis on employee training and consumer seminars. Prior to joining Espoma, Bonnie was a very successful sales representative for Wyatt Quarles, a lawn and garden distributor. She enjoys softball, gardening and international travel.

Jim Voytus
Midwest Territory Sales Manager
A native of Cleveland Ohio, Jim holds a Degree in Landscape Architect from The Ohio State University and has over 20 years experience in the Lawn & Garden Industry. From Director of Landscape at a Design Build firm to Sales Representative at Arett Sales to Territory Sales Manager at GSO America and Glenn Walters Nursery, and now with Espoma, Jim has covered every aspect of our industry. Jim lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Traci and their two children, Brandon & Kennedi. Jim enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his kids sports (hockey & baseball), as well as participating in adult hockey and golf

Charles Shields
New York / New England Territory Sales Manager
Born and raised in Long Island, NY, Charlie has a bachelor degree in Horticulture and an MBA in Agricultural Economics. After 10 years of working in landscape, wholesale nursery, and retail garden center management, Charlie joined Espoma in 1987, where he has successfully grown his New York and New England territory. Charlie resides in Watertown, CT with his wife Chris, and their three children: Jennifer, Joanna, and Andrew. He enjoys fishing, boating, gardening and carpentry / restoration, as well as volunteering with the Scouts and coaching sports.
