Bulb-tone is a premium plant food formulated specifically for bulbs and tubers. It contains bone meal and other natural organics to meet the special nutritional needs of these plants. Bulb-tone;s all natural formula now contains Bio-tone®, our proprietary blend of beneficial microbes. Bio-tone biologically enhances our natural plant food to ensure superior plant growth. Bulb-tone feeds slowly, safely, and will provide a long lasting food reservoir to ensure superior results.

New Plantings

Plant bulbs in loose, well drained soil rich in organic matter.
Plant bulbs at the correct depth (see chart on side).
Row Planting - Mix 1.5 lbs. (4.5 cups) of Bulb-tone into the soil for each 25' of row.
Individual Bulbs - Apply 1.5 heaping teaspoons into the planting hole and cover with soil.
Bed Plantings - Mix 4 lbs. per 60 sq. ft. into the soil.

 

Feeding Established Bulbs

Apply Bulb-tone again when Spring and Summer plantings reach 6 inches in height.
Fall plantings can be fed again after they have bloomed in the Spring.
Bed Plantings - Apply 4 lbs. per 60 sq. ft. and wash off any plant food that is on the foliage.
Individual Bulbs - Sprinkle 1.5 heaping teaspoons around and 2-3 inches away from each plant.
Dahlias and gladioli can be fed monthly.
